Babi Yar opens Blinded with a slow build of domestic field recordings, a persistent refrigerator drone, fragile voice and industrial tension.
Most of the sounds were recorded in my apartment. The title refers to the ravine near Kyiv; the piece holds that weight in silence and atmosphere rather than attempting to narrate it.
